2022 Badminton Full Schedule

The 2022 badminton full schedule. Season begins with the Indian Open and ends with the BWF World Tour Finals.

After a roller coaster season in 2021, with some badminton events cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2022 will have an action-packed calendar.

Two waves of the pandemic meant last year’s Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour was limited to nine events. But this year, 31 events have been scheduled, culminating in the BWF World Tour Finals in China in December.

The Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK, in July-August, and the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, in September, will add to the exciting badminton season ahead.

The BWF has also restructured its lineup for 2022, rescheduling many matches to reduce travel and reduce the risk of infection.

The 2022 badminton season kicks off with three matches in India, marking the return of major badminton events to the country after two years.

The India Open, a BWF Super 500 event that kicks off on January 11 in New Delhi, will feature all the heavyweights of Indian badminton, including top seeds PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and new world champion Loh Kean from Singapore Yew.

The tour then moved to Lucknow for the Sermodi International BWF Super 500 Championship. The India leg of the BWF World Tour concludes with the inaugural Odisha Open Super 100, which will take place in the last week of January.

The continental men’s and women’s team championships in Asia, Africa, Europe and Pan America will be held in February. These events are also qualifiers for the Thomas and Uber Cup in May.The world team championship.

In March, there will be the first of this year’s three BWF Super 1000 events. The All England, where the young Lakshasen last reached the quarter-finals.

The team then traveled to Switzerland and France before heading to South Korea in April for the Korea Open and Korea Masters.

The BWF World Tour Finals at the end of the season will be held in Guangzhou, China on December 14.
