Rugby World Cup Qualified Teams And Qualification Procedure

The hype of one of the biggest international events begins as the last drop counts begin. The qualifying process for the 2023 Rugby World Cup began during the stages of the 2019 tournament in Japan. When the top three teams came out of each pool four qualified for the 2023 event automatically. The other eight teams will enter the regional play-offs, cross-regions and the repetition process. Here we will provide details about the Rugby world cup qualified teams so far and qualifying process for the next teams.

Rugby World Qualified Teams

Four teams from across Africa, Asia / Pacific, the United States, and Europe will compete in the Final Qualifiers. The final is held for the second round of the Rugby World Cup which starts in November 2022. The winner of the round robin tournament will receive the final remaining ticket for France 2023.

Teams Qualified for Rugby World Cup

The 2023 Rugby World Cup will run from September 8 to October 28. The top 20 teams will compete in the tournament to win the Webb Ellis Cup. This time, on the 20th, a total of 12 teams have been judged directly on RWC 2023. The remaining 8 teams must advance to the competitions to be part of this major event.

There is a qualifying program for selecting the last 20 teams. As mentioned earlier, the top three teams came out of the lake during the 2019 RWC, booking their place in the final round of the 20th round.

Direct Qualification

Twelve teams get a direct pass to the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The remaining 8 posts will be filled with various competitions. In order to complete the remaining 8 locations, teams from different continents are set to enter the main event.

  • Two groups are from America
  • Two are from Europe
  • 1 African group,
  • One group from Asia / Pacific
  • 1 group from Oceania

will book a place in the tournament. Although, 1 team will advance to the final qualifying tournament. However, among the last 8, 4 teams have already secured their positions on the basis of their strong performance over the past seasons.
